Nicole Giladi a writer from Los Angles has publisher a book called “Little Redheads Across America and it has sold thousands of copies since its release in 2009. A so-called “coffee table book” is filled with more then400 pictures of redheads from all 50 states.
She said the inspiration for her book was her son who is a redhead and became curious as to why considering she and her husband did not have redhead. She became fascinated with their physical traits like freckles, and red hair. The united states has the largest population of redheads in any other country.
“I was fascinated to learn that redheads make up only 2 to 4 percent of the U.S. population. I was also astonished to learn that it’s a recessive gene, which means both my husband and I gave our son his copper colored locks†Giladi said
The book is available in an 88-page hardcover book and can be purchased from her website: www.littleredheadsacrossamerica.com. It took Giladi over two and a half years to complete the book collecting pictures and stories from gingers all over America. There are also fun and education facts in the book about the 50 states.
