You may have seen Rihanna lately with her new red hair and it sounds like she is loving it. She explained recently why she made the change:

Redheads have the most fun! And redheads have the most work too, I get bored quickly, but right now I’m loving my hair. Red suits my mood right now, it’s fun, playful and flirty. But I can’t wear white anymore, and my god, my pillows! I wake up thinking, ‘What The Hell? Who’s died in here?

Her new Album Loud will be released on November 15th, so check it out!

You remember Ramain Gravas? He was the director of M.I.A’s controversial video where redheads were taken out to the desert and killed en masse. Well he has come out with a full length feature simply called “Redheads” (aka “Our Day Will Come”). Here is a synopsis from the director of the plot.

What do you do when you’re a red-haired teenage loser with no friends except for an older guy, your shrink? When everyone hates you, especially your family? When all your peers make fun of you and kick you around? The answer: You and your loser buddy blow all the cash you can get your hands on to buy a sports car, you dress smart, and you head for the land of redheads, Ireland. But what starts off as a search for an ideal gradually escalates into a rampage of hate, violence, and self-destruction.

No word yet on a firm release date, but we trust it will be subtitled when it comes out. But for now, brush up on your french and watch the trailer below.

The Victorian Governments new video dubbed “Gingas get Fresh” was released recently and has provoked a landslide of complaints to advertising authorities and the Human Rights Commission. The Commission have slapped the government with a polite “please explain request”. The government is trying to use REDHEADS as a reason to not use your mobile phone while driving. A line from the advertisement says:

Every time you use your mobile phone whilst driving, gingers get fresh with other gingers. Don’t be a dickhead. Don’t use your phone.

People called in immediately after the ad was released and within the first hour over 20 complaints have been received. The biggest concern was the possibility of bulling or teasing at schools however the adverts will not be pulled. The Commission is powerless to act due to a lack of jurisdiction on the matter. I mean seriously folks, i thought we had a good stretch without any bad news about this kind of discrimination against red heads.

Check out the video for yourself and let us know what you think!

I for one, how that if a cell phone call while driving makes a ginger get some? I borderline endorse the practise!

In Australia a common nickname for redheads is “Ranga” which is an abbreviation of orang-utan. To try and draw attention to the plight of the animal the Adelaide Zoo ran an advertisement offering “Free Zoo Entry for all Rangas” during school holidays.

The campaign generated a large negative reaction to the request reports the Zoos director of conservation programs. “People are possibly more sensitive then we thought” Kevin Evans said.

The exhibit was to bring to peoples attention that since human redheads are becoming an endangered species (which is not true) we could empathize with the same plight of the orangutans being endangered.

The Zoo has since changed their policy and will not seek proof that patrons are not natural redheads.
