A family are being forced out of their home by a gang of thugs because of their red hair.

Kevin and Barbara Chapman say they and their four young children have been forced to move three times to avoid the taunts against their red hair children. Beyond the verbal torment they have had their windows smashed, their walls covered in graffiti and physical assaults by other youths in the city.

Revently the Chapman family returned to their third home in Newcastle in the Uniked Kingdom to find the words “ginger is gay” painted ouside of their property. The last move was even done in conjunction with social workers, but the abuse has not ceased. They are now waiting on their city council to find them yet ANOTHER home.

The 14 Year old who began the facebook group “National Kick a Ginger Day, are you going to do it?” is reportedly under investigation by the RCMP in Canada. The group which urged its members to “get those steel toes ready” and group thousands of user comments. The group has since been shut down but reached 20,000 users before facebook pulled the plug. The boy who was from Vancouver island, British Columbia said the group was just a joke and that he was sorry for any trouble that it may have caused. According to the boy, he didnt actually start the facebook group by rather inherited it when the previous owner got in trouble he is now willing to message all of the members who have signed up and apologize for any harm it may have done.

RCMP Constable Tammy Douglass said the group is being investigated and if any hate laws have been violated those involved could face charges. “We do treat this kind of thing seriously” she explained. Ironically the day in question fell in the middle of International Bullying Awareness week.
