M.I.A has declared war on gingers in her new video for Born Free. We cant let this happen. For all we know hundreds if not thousands of our fellow comrades are being rounded up by the bus load and killed with nary a thought. While I would hope that this short is nothing but an artistic piece, you can see the real terror in some of the gingers eyes. Some may see this and see that it is the beginning of a war against our red headed kind. Fight back now while we can, before there arent any of us left to fight back. They fear our power, they fear our charisma. But if we stick together we can overcome the man trying to get us down! Here is the video below, i highly suggest you all check this out and spread the word about what is happening to gingers everywhere!

Is it really a big deal to raising a redhead? Apparently there is a whole website dedicated to the proper steps that a parent needs to take in order to bring up a red head without with them turning into some sort of… i don’t know, ginger vampire? Raising Redheads is a parenting magazine that:

Raising-Redheads.com is a parenting magazine dedicated to redheads and their families.

Ill give it a nod for being a very informative website about redheads (although not as informative as us of course) such as tour genetics and how prevalent we are in the world. But what really grinds my gears is just that it seems to try and set us apart from everyone else. Its like saying you there are special steps that you need to take in raising an asian or black child. A little red hair doesnt require a different battle plan with a child. Maybe they will get teased when they are growing up, but thats not something that any other child has to deal with when growing up.

Not that i dont doubt the authors sincerity about loving redheads (she is one herself), all i am saying is that it is this type of website that just continues to perpetuate the belief that gingers not the same as everyone else. When will the world see that gingers deserve to be treated just like everyone else!

Check out these two videos by a kid on facebook willing to prove to the world that gingers are just as important as everyone else. Gingers do have souls dammit! Im glad we have strong willed kids like this as the next generation of gingers. With them around im not too worried about us ever disappearing. It has become a bit of an internet sensation with his videos gaining over a million hits, and i present his saga to you here on Ginger Love!

In Australia a common nickname for redheads is “Ranga” which is an abbreviation of orang-utan. To try and draw attention to the plight of the animal the Adelaide Zoo ran an advertisement offering “Free Zoo Entry for all Rangas” during school holidays.

The campaign generated a large negative reaction to the request reports the Zoos director of conservation programs. “People are possibly more sensitive then we thought” Kevin Evans said.

The exhibit was to bring to peoples attention that since human redheads are becoming an endangered species (which is not true) we could empathize with the same plight of the orangutans being endangered.

The Zoo has since changed their policy and will not seek proof that patrons are not natural redheads.

In the End of Time, Part Two when David Tennant (the 10th Doctor) regenerated into Matt Smith (the 11th) he says to himself:

I’ve still got legs. Arms, hands, lots of fingers, eyes, hair…I’m not a girl. I’m still not ginger.

This episode seen by 11 million viewers caused angry parents to call in and complain to the BBC that the comment would encourage the bullying of their ginger haired children. While reading the statement doesn’t really sound as it was not meant as in insult it was actually a statement of disappointment. Despite this the BBC was forced to issue a statement:

We would like to reassure viewers that Doctor Who doesn’t have an anti ginger agenda whatsoever. This was a reprise of the line in the Christmas Invasion episode in 2005, when David Tennant discovers that he’s not ginger, and here he is, missing out again – disappointed he’s still not ginger.

They note that the Doctor has had a desire to have red hair nad have been a running joke since episode titled “The Christmas Invasion” in 2005.

Conan O'Brian the Ginger

Conan O'Brian the Ginger

It seems that NBC may be regretting their decision to move Jay Leno back to his 11:30 spot up against David Letterman in the same time slot. But this could be a problem for our favorite ginger Conan O’Brian. Since his move to Jay Leno’s old spot ratings have tanked and advertisers are dropping rates or pulling out entirely, and the only way to bring back the money is going to be to move Jay back to his old spot. But what is going to happen to Conan? There are a lot of different options being thrown around maybe they can share the time slot, maybe Conan can move back to his old spot.

But my biggest fear is that Conan is going to get the boot! He may be popular with the younger crowed, and I’m sure he has a loyal Gingers backing him (including your Ginger Love team), but this may not be enough to sway the network. We are a small group we just need to let our voices be heard!

I just found an amazing discovery! A game where you work as a ginger to try and allow our species to survive. The goal of the game is to try and mate with as many other gingers as you can before the sun comes up. Because as you all know once the sun comes up our skin starts to become sensitive to the ultra violet light of the sun. You increase your chance of creating a ginger kid by mating with other red heads, but as ginger genetics tells us you can still give birth to a red head so long as the partner you find has the recessive gene in their DNA.

You can also pick up power ups to help you such as sunblock so that you can stay out finding partners later, and bag pipes to try and impress the ladies a little better. So long as you create enough gingers by the time the sun comes up you get to move on to the next level. Watch out however as some of the girls dont like red heads and wont respond to your advances. Good luck!

Virgin media in the UK was found to be prejudiced towards Redheads with their recent ad for “Dating in the Dark”. The Advertising Standards Authority said that there was an implied message that those with red hair (gingers) were unattractive and was likley to cause a serious offense. This comes as no surprise considering the rash of attacks – which received three complaints – said it implied those with ginger hair were unattractive and was likely to cause “serious offense”. This comes as no surprise considering the rash of ginger related violence over the past weeks and months across Europe and the United States.

The ad reads “How do you spot a Ginger in the Dark?“… Looks or personality, who wins?” The ASA was inundated with redheads who were angry that the commercial had been allowed to air and demanded its prompt removal.

Virgin unsuccessfully argued that the was nothing offensive about the commercial but instead “challenged people’s perceptions of attractiveness”. The Advertising Standards Authority ordered the network to remove the offensive material

Tesco Christmas Card

Tesco Christmas Card

Tesco has been blasted for the release of this insensitive Christmas Card. The card which reads “Santa loves all kids. Even GINGER kids” suggests that gingers dont deserve as much love as normal kids, which is not the message we should be sending with the recent violence against gingers in the news. The card has been removed in one location in York but is still available in other UK locations.

The woman who complained has two younger girls both gingers and have been subject to taunts for years. The children came home upset one week after being called “Ginger Ninjas”. While i actually wish i could claim that title myself the childen did not understand and were hurt by the accusations.

According to Mirror.co.uk Tesco was unavailable for comment.

A family are being forced out of their home by a gang of thugs because of their red hair.

Kevin and Barbara Chapman say they and their four young children have been forced to move three times to avoid the taunts against their red hair children. Beyond the verbal torment they have had their windows smashed, their walls covered in graffiti and physical assaults by other youths in the city.

Revently the Chapman family returned to their third home in Newcastle in the Uniked Kingdom to find the words “ginger is gay” painted ouside of their property. The last move was even done in conjunction with social workers, but the abuse has not ceased. They are now waiting on their city council to find them yet ANOTHER home.
