We all know that EVERYONE wants to have that gorgeous red hair look. Many celebrities dye their hair red for that hot look but they are fakers! You would be surprised at some of them as a few use red hair as their trademark look but just like many of us its only skin deep. See the list below and help us expose those with fake red hair for who they really are!

Nicole Kidman

In the 1990, every time you saw Nicole she had that deep red look, but in reality she just your average old Aussie blond. She has recently went back that look, i personally don’t want a douche like her to be considered a true ginger!

Gillian Anderson

Another natural blond during her stint as agent Dana Scully on the X-Files she went with the red look to captivate the audiences.

Christina Hendricks

Everyone knows her for her role as the bodacious office manager on AMC’s Mad Men. Her fiery red locks are just a cover up for her blond look. Seems blonds are known for having fun, but they will give it up for a sexy look!

Alyson Hannigan

She was best known for her role as Sarah Michelle Gellers sidekick on Buffy the Vampire slayer, but her red hair is fake too! She has brown hair with perhaps a tiny tinge of red according to her stylist.

Amy Adams

Many would not expect it, but this girls natural blond hair has been covered up for red. She used to only play bitchy girls but since dying her hair red she has receive more dramatic roles.

We all know that people with red hair come in all different colors. We decided to show them all to you. From the strawberry blond all the way to dark auburn red they are all beautiful! We have identified seven different shades although dont worry we know that there is an infinate number between the two.

The Free press recently put a poll out to it readers to rate a list of 13 famous redheads from around the world to find out who the most popular was. While we definitely do not agree with the redheads that were selected for inclusion here are the results out of the 838 votes cast:

As much as i love “The Flying Tomato” i think its a stretch to put him above one of the architects of the defeat of the Nazis in World War 2. Nor do i think Martin Van Buren would have been anywhere near the top of any kind of real list. Unless the Van Buren gang shows up at your door and threatens to ruff you up if you dont vote his way (however you can get around this if you know the special sign).

Rise of the Redheads? It may seem so because we are everywhere latley. Be it Karen Elson from the White Stripes, Ginger faced Conan O’Brian or Alan Mually the red haired CEO of Ford. Many people felt bad for their redheaded brethern when they were younger, but it seems to have changed.

Redheads have often been though of as stubbotn like Nancy Drew who never let a mystery win or sassy like Kathy Griffin or even adventurous like 2010 Winter Games gold-medalist Shaun White. Red-haired woman often get billed as sex symbols like Christina Hendricks, Ann-Margret and Julia Roberts. Its always been dissapointing to me personally that men with redhair never get such an honor. Could you imagine a redheaded member of the beatles? It just wouldnt have worked. Instead we get Carrot Top or Howdy Doody.

Hair colouring products are also releasing many shades stacked with reds. The Matrix Dream Age brand of hair dye has six of its 10 new colours made up of warm colours like gold, orange and copper. Some hair salons are even reporting a higher number of visits looking to turn their hair red. Aaron Micheal a stylist at Cole Street Salon in Birmingham says he now sees two clients a week that want to go red rather then the one or two a month a couple years ago.

If you’re feeling a little down, isn’t being a hot, sexy redhead a little more inspiring?

In the End of Time, Part Two when David Tennant (the 10th Doctor) regenerated into Matt Smith (the 11th) he says to himself:

I’ve still got legs. Arms, hands, lots of fingers, eyes, hair…I’m not a girl. I’m still not ginger.

This episode seen by 11 million viewers caused angry parents to call in and complain to the BBC that the comment would encourage the bullying of their ginger haired children. While reading the statement doesn’t really sound as it was not meant as in insult it was actually a statement of disappointment. Despite this the BBC was forced to issue a statement:

We would like to reassure viewers that Doctor Who doesn’t have an anti ginger agenda whatsoever. This was a reprise of the line in the Christmas Invasion episode in 2005, when David Tennant discovers that he’s not ginger, and here he is, missing out again – disappointed he’s still not ginger.

They note that the Doctor has had a desire to have red hair nad have been a running joke since episode titled “The Christmas Invasion” in 2005.

Micky Roony as Kris Kringle

According to Micky Roony who played Kris Kringle in the Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town (1994). The story starts out as young Kris is left on the doorstep of the Kringle’s house who just so happened to be toymakers! When he grows up he wants to deliver toys to all the children in the nearby town of Sombertown. Of course there are all kinds of obstacles in Kris’ way but he is able to to Melt the evil wizards heart, and Burgermeister couldnt overcome his determination and the children of Sombertown got their presents for the first time. Only can only assume that Kris’s red hair disappear with the passage of time and now he is a white haired old man who delivers toys for all the good little boys around the world.

Isla Fisher in all her ginger glory

Here is Isla fisher one of our favorite gingers. Born in February 1976 in Oman where her father worked as a banker for the United Nations. When she was six years old she moved to Perth, Australia and began appearing in commercials in television there. She later went on to have roles in childrens programming on shows like Paradise Beach and Bay City.

When she was 18 she had already published two novels and had a role in the Australian soap opera “Home and Away“. Currently she lives with her fiance, British actor Sacha Baron Cohen and their daughter Olive and spend their time living in London and Los Angeles.
