The one appearing below must have escaped as you can see it has suffered damage to its left leg, but is still fully functional. Remember it is best not approach one too closely as it may harm you or spread gingervitus which is incurable. You can often find a ginger in the shade as they tend to avoid sunlight when possible. They are most dangerous at night. This video explains the process used to dispose of the gingers once they have been rounded up and identified.

Season four is soon ending for Mad Men and we are soon going to all be suffering withdrawal from our favorite celebrity redhead Christina Hendricks. But fear not, coming in 2011 she may be making an appearance as a model for Americas Next Top Model.

Buzz magazine spoke to Americas Next Top Model catwalk coach Miss J (aka J Alexander) that he and Tyra Banks are eager to get Christina’s hour-glass figure on the show on the planned special plus-size season of the modelling show. Nothing has been confirmed by Miss J is quoted as saying

We would love to have Christina on if we do the special. Even if it’s a short cycle, she’s a great role model for women. She really embraces her body.

You may have seen Rihanna lately with her new red hair and it sounds like she is loving it. She explained recently why she made the change:

Redheads have the most fun! And redheads have the most work too, I get bored quickly, but right now I’m loving my hair. Red suits my mood right now, it’s fun, playful and flirty. But I can’t wear white anymore, and my god, my pillows! I wake up thinking, ‘What The Hell? Who’s died in here?

You remember Ramain Gravas? He was the director of M.I.A’s controversial video where redheads were taken out to the desert and killed en masse. Well he has come out with a full length feature simply called “Redheads” (aka “Our Day Will Come”). Here is a synopsis from the director of the plot.

What do you do when you’re a red-haired teenage loser with no friends except for an older guy, your shrink? When everyone hates you, especially your family? When all your peers make fun of you and kick you around? The answer: You and your loser buddy blow all the cash you can get your hands on to buy a sports car, you dress smart, and you head for the land of redheads, Ireland. But what starts off as a search for an ideal gradually escalates into a rampage of hate, violence, and self-destruction.

No word yet on a firm release date, but we trust it will be subtitled when it comes out. But for now, brush up on your french and watch the trailer below.

Now not all of you may be huge Eminem fans, but you cant help but be a fan of the ginger with the insane look on his face at the 1:13 point of the video below, check it out.

On July 16th there will be a gathering of redheads of epic proportions. In Sammamish, Washington the Guinness book of world records is taking notice as gingers from around the world will descend upon the city attempting to break the record of the most natural redheads gathered in one place at one time.

Redheads Unite!

If you live near the area it is taking place at 2PM at the Skyline High School Stadium, the first 100 people who show up also get a copy of the book Redheads and More Redheads written by author and artist Anne Lindsay who is also organizing the event. After doing some research it doesn’t appear that there is a previous record that has been set for this, but hopefully once they all get together it will stand for a long time!

Im sure by now you have all heard about Anna Chapman, the alleged ginger Russian spy that was recently caught in a dramatic sting operation by the FBI. Shes hot, shes beautiful, and of course, shes a ginger! It sounds like she is someone who would fit perfectly into any bond movie as the villains sultry assistant. According to people close to her, she was extremely smart, boasting an IQ of over 160. She has a master degree in economics, ran her own real estate agency and like i said… shes well HOT! It looks like she will not be going to jail due to a pending spy swap in the works between the US and Russian where she will likely earn her freedom, albeit unable to return to America. Apparently a sex study i must have overlooked has found that while Blonds may have more fun, redheads have way more sex according to research done in Germany. Professor Dr Werner Habermehl looked at the sex lives of thousands of German woman and correlated the results with their hair color.

He found that women with red hair were clearly more sexually active then those with other colors having more partners and more sex more often then the average, I guess the caricature of the fiery redhead certainly lives up to her reputation. He also found that women who changed their hair color to red were often trying to subconsciously signal that they are looking for a new partner. A psychologist involved in the study however stated another reason why redheads have exciting sex lives:

Red stands for passion and when a man sees a redhead he will think he is dealing with a woman who won’t mess around, and gets straight to the point when it comes to sex.

Christina Hendricks is returning to her sci-fi roots and plays a sexy space vixen for the Indie Rock band Broken Bells. She is no stranger to this kind of role having guest-starred in the TV series Firefly placing an all business mischievous Bond girl. The video tells the story of a distressed but determined woman in space and she looks great! The song is called “The Ghost Inside” and the bands members consist of the Shins’ James Mercer and Gnarls Barkley’s Danger Mouse.

Hendricks was also recently named as Esquires Sexiest Woman in the World and she sure deserves it! She sure has made a name of herself over the last few years with her role on Mad Men.
